Ecclesiastes 4:14
Print
For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor.
For out of prison he came forth to be king; yea, even in his kingdom he was born poor.
for the poor youth has [used his wisdom and] come out of prison to become king, even though he was born poor in his kingdom.
Even though [the youth] comes out of prison to reign, while the other, born a king, becomes needy.
For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor.
For he came from prison to be king, even though he was born poor in his kingdom.
He emerged from prison to become king, even though during his rule a poor child is born.
True, he rose from prison to be king; yet, while ruling, he became poor.
Even if you were not born into the royal family and have been a prisoner and poor, you can still be king.
For out of the prison-house he came forth to reign, although he was born poor in his kingdom.
Because out of prison and chains sometimes a man cometh forth to a kingdom: and another born king is consumed with poverty.
Maybe the young ruler was born a poor man in the kingdom. And maybe he came from prison to rule the country.
A young man who is wise may even become king himself one day. He may have been in prison. He may have been born in a poor family in that kingdom. But he may later rule there as king.
for he came out of prison to rule as king, even though he had been born poor in the land that became his kingdom.
For he went from prison to the throne, though in his own kingdom he had been born poor.
For he went from prison to the throne, though in his own kingdom he had been born poor.
The ·boy [youth] became king. He had been born poor in the kingdom and had even gone to prison before becoming king.
For out of the prison he cometh forth to reign: when as he that is born in his kingdom, is made poor.
A young man came out of prison to rule as king, even though he had been born in poverty in that same kingdom.
Someone may rise from poverty to become king of his country, or go from prison to the throne, but if in his old age he is too foolish to take advice, he is not as well off as a young man who is poor but intelligent.
For he came from prison to be king, even though he was born poor in his kingdom.
I saw such a young person become king. He had been born poor in the kingdom. He had even gone to prison before becoming king.
The former can come out of prison to reign, while the latter, even if born to kingship, may become poor.
For he came out of prison to reign, even though he was born poor into his kingdom.
For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor.
For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor.
For he has come out of prison to become king, even though he was born poor in his kingdom.
For he came out of the prison house to reign, since he was born poor in his kingdom.
Such a lad could come from prison and succeed. He might even become king though born in poverty.
A poor child with some wisdom is better off than an old but foolish king who doesn’t know which end is up. I saw a youth just like this start with nothing and go from rags to riches, and I saw everyone rally to the rule of this young successor to the king. Even so, the excitement died quickly, the throngs of people soon lost interest. Can’t you see it’s only smoke? And spitting into the wind?
For out of prison he has come to reign, even though he was born poor in the kingdom.
A young man came out of prison to rule as king, even though he had been born in poverty in that same kingdom.
for from a prison house he came forth to reign; despite his kingship he was born poor.
for he has come out of prison to become king, even though he was born poor in his kingdom.
For he has come out of prison to become king, even though he was born poor in his kingdom.
One can emerge from prison to be crowned as a king, even though he was born in poverty in that kingdom.
A boy became king. He had been born poor in the kingdom and had even gone to prison before becoming king.
For he came out of prison to become king, even though he had been born poor in what would become his kingdom.
The young man might have come from prison to become king. Or he might have been born poor within the kingdom but still became king.
The youth may have come from prison to the kingship, or he may have been born in poverty within his kingdom.
The youth may have come from prison to the kingship, or he may have been born in poverty within his kingdom.
For he comes out of prison to be king, Although he was born poor in his kingdom.
A man can come out of prison to become king, even if he was born poor in his nation.
Such a youth could rise from poverty and succeed. He might even become king, though he has been in prison.
One can indeed come out of prison to reign, even though born poor in the kingdom.
One can indeed come out of prison to reign, even though born poor in the kingdom.
One can indeed come out of prison to reign, even though born poor in the kingdom.
One can indeed come out of prison to reign, even though born poor in the kingdom.
For out of the bais hasohar he cometh to reign, although he was born a poor man in his malchut (kingdom).
even though he had gone from prison to the throne or in his own kingdom had been born poor.
even though he had gone from prison to the throne or in his own kingdom had been born poor.
For he came out of prison to become king—though he was born poor in his kingdom.
For example, once a young man marched out of prison to become king; it had not mattered how poor he once had been in his kingdom.
For out of prison he came out to be king; yes, even in his kingdom he was born poor.
For sometime a man goeth out, both from prison and chains, to a realm (and becometh a king); and another, born into a realm, is wasted by neediness.
For from a house of prisoners he hath come out to reign, for even in his own kingdom he hath been poor.
